Erica Wald
Short Biography
Erica Wald is a Tutorial Follow in International History at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her research explores the interlinked themes of the military, medicine and morality in early nineteenth century India. She is particularly interested in the ways in which concerns over venereal disease in the army dictated the colonial state’s policies. She holds a BA in History and Government from Smith College and an MSc in the Politics of Empire and Post Imperialism from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Erica studied for her PhD at Trinity College, Cambridge.
